My Honest Review of the Luxury Group Travel Experience
Was it worth it?

If you spend any time on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the ads—luxury group travel companies promising curated international trips, sisterhood, and stress-free vacations. Like many people, I always wondered: Is it actually worth it?
So, I decided to find out for myself.
I booked a trip to Bali with Luxe Tribes for Spring Break and spent a week experiencing what their luxury group travel model was really like. As someone who normally plans every detail of my solo trips, this was completely outside of my comfort zone—and honestly, it exceeded my expectations.
Traveling with Luxe Tribes to Bali was honestly one of those experiences I booked half out of curiosity and half as an experiment.
We all see the Instagram ads—“travel with us,” “luxury group trips,” “payment plans,” “meet amazing women”—and if you’re anything like me, part of you wonders… is this actually legit? Is it really luxury? Are the women cool? Is the itinerary worth it? Or is it just social media marketing?
So I decided to be the crash dummy for all of us.
I joined a Luxe Tribes Bali trip for spring break and spent a week in Bali from March 29 to April 4, seeing for myself what the experience was really like. And honestly? It exceeded my expectations.

As someone who usually plans every detail of my solo trips myself—every hotel, every dinner, every activity—giving up control was very outside my comfort zone. I like having my hands on everything. So letting someone else plan the entire trip for me felt unfamiliar… but surprisingly refreshing.
All I had to do was show up.
My Bali trip with Luxe Tribes was a 7-day curated experience that blended luxury, culture, and flexibility—from seamless airport pickup and a stunning villa stay to beach club days, spa treatments, guided tours of temples and rice terraces, and beautifully planned group dinners. The itinerary balanced structured activities with free days to explore Ubud independently, making it ideal for both first-time and solo travelers seeking a stress-free yet personalized experience.
Meals were planned. Transportation was arranged. Activities were booked. I didn’t have to think about where we were going, where we were eating, or what came next. I just had to enjoy the experience—and for a control freak solo traveler, that felt like a luxury in itself.
From the moment I landed in Bali, the trip felt organized. Transportation was waiting, drivers coordinated pickup, and once we arrived at the villa—after a slightly sketchy drive down what looked like a back alley—the property itself was absolutely stunning. The villa was beautiful, peaceful, spacious, and felt like stepping into another world. Whoever sourced that location deserves major credit.
The itinerary was thoughtfully curated. We had welcome dinners, cultural performances, beach club days, coffee tours, spa experiences, Bali swings, group lunches, and beautifully coordinated outings throughout the week. Breakfast was prepared fresh every morning by a private chef, and the amount of food included throughout the trip was no joke—they made sure nobody went hungry.

What I appreciated most was the balance between structured luxury and personal freedom. The itinerary included free days, which allowed me to still explore Bali on my own terms. On those days I went white-water rafting, visited the monkey forest, and even swam with dolphins—which ended up being one of the highlights of my entire trip.
Another standout part of the experience was the on-ground support. Our host, Eva, was phenomenal. She helped coordinate everything seamlessly—from transportation and reservations to language translation and local assistance. Having someone there to bridge every gap made the trip feel effortless. She truly elevated the experience.
If I had one critique, it would be that I wish there had been more nightlife or evening social activities built into the itinerary. A lounge night, rooftop outing, or nightclub experience would have added a fun layer to the trip. Though honestly, after those long activity days, I was usually exhausted anyway.
My only other hesitation is that the Bali itinerary appears to stay largely the same each trip, so if you return with them to Bali, you may be repeating many of the same activities. That said, for a first-time Bali traveler, especially someone nervous about planning international travel alone, I think it’s an incredible option.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend traveling with Luxe Tribes—at least for Bali.
They delivered a genuinely luxurious, well-organized, and stress-free travel experience that made international group travel feel easy. For anyone curious about group travel but hesitant to try it, this was a strong first impression and made me interested in trying another destination with them in the future.
If you’ve been eyeing one of those group travel ads and wondering whether it’s worth it, this is me telling you: for Bali, yes. It was worth it.
